The Ministry of Commerce publicized the list of 65 transformation and upgrading bases for foreign trade in the country, including two in the Jingzhou, Hubei Province, the Department of Commerce of Hubei Province said on June 17, 2019.

  The national transformation and upgrading base for foreign trade, integrating the industries of production and export, is an important carrier for cultivating new advantages in export competition as well as a powerful engine in promoting the transformation of the development mode of foreign trade and optimizing the export commodities structure.

  Previously, Hubei has been approved 11 related bases in Wuhan, Huangshi, Fuyang, Yichang, Xiaogan, Suizhou, Xiantao and Qianjiang cities. Among them, Wuhan is highlighted by four bases specializing in automobiles and auto parts.

  As introduced, the 11 national bases in Hubei gained exports of 100.253 billion yuan last year, accounting for 44.5 percent of the province's total exports. The export products cover such pillar industries as automobiles and auto parts, ships, electronic information, equipment manufacturing, textile and clothing, agricultural products, pharmaceutical chemicals, non-ferrous metals, etc. (hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi)
