On August 9, the 107th freight train of China -Europe Railway Express (Wuhan) departed from Wuhan, fully loaded with computer accessories, sports equipments, machineries and other products. It will arrive in Germany after crossing the border at Alataw Pass and running through Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus and Poland.

  Since inception in October 2012 up till now, 1,458 trips have been made by China -Europe Railway Express (Wuhan), contributing to shipment value of 36 billion yuan. Five logistics routes passing border at Alashankou, Manzhouli, Erlianhaote, Pingxiang and Horgos were opened one by one, which could provide the farthest access to London, and realizing the interconnection between Hubei and Asian and European countries on land.

  Calculated by official exchange rate, the total import and export value of Hubei reached 348.72 billion yuan in 2018, an increase of more than 560 times compared with 620 million yuan in 1954.
