Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei Province, will offer 500,000 job positions for more than 300,000 college graduates in 2021, local authorities said on February 5.
The year of 2020 witnessed 302,000 college graduates chose to stay in Wuhan. Among them, there were 23,900 postgraduates and 165,400 undergraduates. And 139,400 graduates gained the city’s household registration status.
The industrial development injected impetus into the city’s move. In 2020, 154,000 job vacancies from Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone were provided, with 68,000 college graduates engaged in high-tech and emerging industries.
The city has rolled out a slew of measures to attract graduates, including preferential housing policies residency policies, as well as entrepreneurship programs with higher subsidies.
