The gross output of  construction industry in Hubei amounted to 1.61 trillion yuan in 2020, which recovered to 95.1 percent of last year’s level, ranking fourth nationwide and taking lead in central China for seven consecutive years, local authorities said on February 1.

  In 2020, the total amount of contracts in terms of construction industry  in the province reached 4.36 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.76 percent, of which the newly signed contract value stood at 2.21 trillion yuan, rising by 15.3 percent.

  The local government has rolled out a string of measures to accelerate the recovery of construction industry, despite downside pressures caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
