The China Hubei-Myanmar Investment Cooperation Promotion Meeting, which jointly organized by the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar and the Department of Commerce of Hubei Province, was held on line on January 26 to bridge Hubei enterprises and Myanmar.

  The local well-known enterprises like Hubei Industrial Construction Group, Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd, BGI, Hubei Kangnong Seed Industry Co., Ltd, Fiberhome International and other representatives attended the video meeting.

  From January to November 2020, Hubei’s total import and export volume to Myanmar stood at 190 million U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 40 percent. Myanmar is the country seeing the highest growth rate in the import and export trade with Hubei among ASEAN countries.

  Myanmar's investment environment, preferential policies and key investment areas were detailed at the meeting. The Yangon New Town, Mandalay Miuda Industrial Park, and the development cooperation potential of Myanmar in the fields of communications and agriculture were also presented .

  Representatives of enterprises from Hubei introduced the province’s advantages in the fields of medicine, agriculture, automobile manufacturing, and communications. And two sides actively exchanged views on investment and cooperation in Myanmar.
