Wuhan honored China's 'smartest city' 2021

  The World Smart City Awards (Greater China Area) was unveiled on Oct. 15, in east China’s Shanghai, where Wuhan, capital city of Hubei Province, was granted the top honor ‘City Award’.

  Focusing on promoting the role of smart city in economic recovery during the post-epidemic period, Wuhan stood out from 117 projects submitted by 47 provinces and cities across the country. It will then compete for the Global Smart City Awards on behalf of China.

  The award is a comprehensive demonstration of the effectiveness and achievements of Wuhan’s smart city construction in digital anti-epidemic fight, city recovery and intelligence in urban governance.

  The Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) was founded in 2011 under the sponsorship of UN-Habitat, the World Economic Forum, the Spanish Ministry of Industry, and the Barcelona City Government. As an international leading event for cities, it has the world’s largest expo themed of smart city. The Global Smart City Awards (WSCA) is an important part of the event and an authoritative award in the field of smart city worldwide .
