Hubei, Chile's Bío Bío Region hold video conference to strengthen friendly exchanges

  On Nov. 23, a video conference was held between Hubei Province and Bío Bío Region of Chile to strengthen their friendly cooperation .

  Speaking at the conference, Hubei’s vice governor Zhao Haishan introduced that Hubei and Bío Bío Region has carried out pragmatic and effective cooperation in various fields since the two sides established friendly exchange relationship. In the future, Hubei will deepen exchanges with Bío Bío Region in sister-city relationship, economy and trade, culture and anti-pandemic fight, in the hope of yielding new fruits in bilateral cooperation.

  Chinese Ambassador to Chile Niu Qingbao and Chilean Ambassador to China Luis Schmidt delivered video speeches for the conference. They both expressed the friendly exchanges between Hubei and the Bío Bío Region  had set a model for regional exchanges between China and Chile. They would like to bridge the innovative exchanges,  help expand the cooperation fields and enhance people’s friendship between the two sides.

  Rodrigo Díaz Wörner, chairman of the Bío Bío Region, said that this conference is of great significance for promoting exchanges and cooperation between the two sides. Bío Bío Region is willing to further implement the friendly cooperation agreement, work together to overcome the pandemic impact, strengthen exchanges in business and other fields, so as to achieve common development.

  The conference also witnessed the signing of the action plan for exchange and cooperation between Hubei Province and Bío Bío Region in 2022-2024.
