Wuhan, capital city of central China’s Hubei Province, reported 94 China-Europe freight train trips in the first four months this year, on May 16.

  A total of 7,770 standard containers worth 3.37 billion yuan were handled 4,764 standard containers by 58 outbound in the four months, including trips and 3,006 standard containers by 36 inbound trips.

  Data from Wuhan Customs showed that from January to April this year, the total imports and exports volume between Hubei and participating countries along the Belt and Road stood at 40.04 billion yuan, and that between the province with the EU reached 22.82 billion yuan, out of which, the value of goods transported by China-Europe freight trains represented 8.4 percent and 14.77 percent, respectively.

  In addition, this railway line has played an important role in international cooperation for the fight against the epidemic. It was estimated that more than 2,800 tons of anti-epidemic materials  by transported been have China-Europe (Wuhan) freight trains in the same period.
