Hubei Province officially announced the launch of Optics Valley sci-tech innovation corridor, a key project that will bring together the development of Wuhan, Ezhou, Huangshi, Huanggang and Xianning in the province, at the Hubei Science and Technology Innovation Conference on February 18.
The project is laid out with the East Lake Science City as the core, aiming to drive the technological innovation, industrial upgrading and talent gathering in Wuhan, Ezhou, Huangshi, Huanggang, and Xianning.
It is an important step to promote the co-city development of Wuhan City Circle, and alsoa project for accelerating the sci-tech innovation and high-quality development of the province. It will provide strong support for the construction of Wuhan National Science and Technology Innovation Center and East Lake Comprehensive National Science Center.
As introduced, there have been nearly 100 colleges and universities, 73 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, 3 major national scientific and technological bases, 1 national research center, and 28 national key laboratories in the area .
The construction of Optics Valley sci-tech innovation corridor will adhere to the drive of technological innovation and institutional innovation, and strives to build a market-oriented, internationalized, and professional development mechanism, deepen the integration of the innovation chain and the industrial chain, and accelerate the incubation of technology enterprises and the transformation of their technological results, push forward technological and financial innovation, strengthen the technological service system, create a first-class business environment, build an international community, so as to gather high-end talents, improve the efficiency of factor allocation, promote the integration of industry, city and people and speed up the urbanization and integrated development of Wuhan City Circle.
