Central China’s Hubei Province made remarkable progress in scientific and technological innovation during its 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-20).

  The number of high-tech enterprises in the province has reached 10,400 in 2020, with a year-on-year increase of 31.78 percent, the Department of Science and Technology of Hubei Province said on January 5.

  Hubei made a big push towards high-tech enterprises in 2020. The investment of high-tech enterprises contributed 67 percent to major scientific and technological projects as well as key R&D projects, amounting to 196 million yuan.
