Hubei Province on January 20 issued 24 targeted measures to promote the high-quality development of high-tech development zones in the province.

  The measures proposes to build the high-tech zone into an innovation-driven development demonstration zone and a high-quality development pilot zone in the province, to accelerate the construction of Wuhan East Lake comprehensive national scientific center, to support Wuhan to build a scientific and technological innovation center with national influence, and to promote Xiangyang, Yichang to create a national independent innovation demonstration zone.

  The measures also clarified the newly approved national  and provincial-level innovation platforms will receive financial support of no less than 5 million yuan and 1 million yuan, respectively.
