The Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone, also known as Optics Valley of China, along with 10 domestic first-class universities including Tsinghua University, established a China Optics Valley Scholarship, the zone announced on December 23.

  10 million yuan will be set aside annually. And the total number of the scholarships doesn’t exceed 10, with each university getting one scholarship at most. In principle, the amount of a single scholarship reaches 1 million yuan per year.

  The China Optics Valley Scholarship, focusing on science, engineering, agriculture, medicine and law, consists of Student Award, Achievement Transformation Award and Optics Valley Industry Professor Award.
