Chinese tech giant Huawei re-entered Hubei within a year, after the Kunpeng computing ecology settled in Wuhan in April.
Huawei aims to integrate 5G, cloud computing and artificial intelligence with the construction of the "Wuhan Cloud" following high standards, in an effort to provide smart city cloud infrastructure and services.
On April 30, Huawei and Wuhan signed a strategic cooperation agreement on developing Kunpeng computing industry. In September, the Yangtze River Kunpeng Ecological Innovation Center was officially opened in Optics Valley. Kunpeng computing industry is a full-stack IT infrastructure built on Kunpeng processors, as well as industry applications and services.
Huawei established a research institute in Wuhan as early as 2007. Major projects such as the Yangtze River Kunpeng Ecological Innovation Center and the Artificial Intelligence Computing Center are forging ahead. Huawei leaves no stone unturned to make the "Wuhan Cloud" a new name card for the city’s development, said Hu Houkun, Rotating Chairman of Huawei.
