The 2020 Conference on Overseas Chinese Pioneering and Developing in China (COCPDC), co-sponsored by the Hubei Provincial People's Government, the State Council's Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, and the Wuhan Municipal People's Government, opened on November 19 in Wuhan, capital city of Hubei Province.
At the signing ceremony of key projects, 20 representative projects were inked on the spot. This year saw a total of 80 projects signed, which will bring in 50.59 billion yuan , including 59 projects over 100 million yuan, and 18 projects over 1 billion yuan. These projects are mainly engaged in the fields of energy conservation and environmental protection, cultural media, IT optoelectronics, biomedicine, and modern manufacturing.
The conference will focus on the post-epidemic recovery and high-quality economic and social development of Wuhan, the highlighting Wuhan Forum, key project signing ceremony , and nine specific sessions on such issues as high-quality development of smart cities, internationalization of the Belt and Road, Hubei’s science and technology into Russia, and biomedicine.
Founded in 2001, COCPDC has become a well-known brand for Hubei in attracting investment and opening up.
