On the afternoon of June 16, President Zhang Xiaomei Met with Mr. Xiong Yaping, Vice Chairman of Xianning Municipal People’s Congress and Secretary of the CPC Tongcheng County Committee.

  President Zhang extended a warm welcome to Xiong and his colleagues and applauded the efforts of Tongcheng County in seizing new opportunities of opening-up, building an import commodity trading center tailored to local conditions and proactively strengthening foreign exchanges and cooperation. Zhang said that CCPIT Hubei will mobilize its resources with foreign business communities, help Tongcheng align with international standards, promote the construction of the trading center in an all-round and orderly manner, create popular brands and advance high-quality development of regional economy.

  Xiong briefed on the county's prevention and control efforts against COVID-19 as well as updates on the latest economic and social development. He hopes that with the platform and resources of CCPIT Hubei, the county could bring in famous international exhibitions, upgrade its regional import commodity exhibition center and drive its export-oriented economy to a new high.

  The two sides also discussed about introducing more world-famous brands to Tongcheng and enhancing supporting service for exhibition industry.
