Sharing Hubei's Experience & Contributing to the Global FightAgainst COVID-19

  --"Lecture on China-Chile Construction Engineering Innovation Technology" was successfully held

  On the morning of June 11, Beijing time, when it was in the evening of June 10 in Chile, the "Lecture on China-Chile Construction Engineering Innovation Technology" jointly organized by CCPIT Hubei and the Technology Development Center of the Chilean Construction Industry Association was successfully held online. Ms. Francesca Cruz, chairwoman of Chilean Industrial Construction Committee, H.E. Luis Rodolfo Schmidt Montes, Ambassador of Chile to China, Mr. Wu Meng, Director of Bilateral Cooperation of the China International Chamber of Commerce and Ms. Zhang Xiaomei, President of CCPIT Hubei attended the meeting and addressed the lecture. Mr. Yu Dihua, Chief Engineer of General Contracting Company of China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Group Co., Ltd, delivered the keynote lecture. More than 50 representatives of member companies of the Chilean Construction Industry Association and more than 20 Chinese representatives attended the lecture.

  President Zhang Xiaomei said that although there is long distance between China and Chile, the friendship between the two countries remained unchanged for long. Hubei Province and Chile managing to carry out the lecture today despite of the long distance, time difference and the epidemic, once again proves that solidarity and cooperation is the most powerful weapon for the international community to defeat the virus. We are very willing to share anti-epidemic experiences with the Chilean side and try our best to assistant the world people to fight the virus. The China Construction Third Engineering Bureau completed the construction of the Huoshenshan Hospital in just 9 days, shocked the world with China speed. We are honored to invite the chief engineer of China Construction Third Engineering Bureau to share the experience on the construction of Huoshenshan, hoping to further promote the exchange of construction industry between Hubei and Chile, and deepen the friendship between the two sides.

  H.E. Ambassador Montes mentioned that both sides should overcome arduous challenges and strengthen cooperation in various fields in this very difficult period. China's industrialized building technology innovation is one of the models worthy of global learning, and Chile has also become one of the world's leading countries in seismic building technology. This meeting is a link and platform for strengthening international cooperation.

  Mr. Wu Meng reviewed the history of friendly exchanges between China and Chile. The two countries have actively implemented the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind ever since the pandemic, strengthened international cooperation, and jointly fought against COVID-19, reflecting the profound friendship between the two countries and the two peoples. He introduced that with counterpart institutions in 143 countries and Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao regions, CCPIT had established 387 multi-bilateral business cooperation mechanisms, within which the liaison office of China-Chile Business Council was established in CCPIT Hubei in 2015.

  Chief Engineer Yu Dihua delivered a keynote lecture on the application of modular innovative technology in the construction of Huoshenshan Hospital and development prospects of this technology. Representatives of the Chilean enterprise conducted questions on various aspects such as the key points and difficulties in the promotion and application of modular technology, the main difficulties in the construction process, the schedule of design and construction, the recruitment，safety guarantee and accommodation arrangements of construction workers, etc. The lecture was in a lively atmosphere and participants had full interactions. It was really an exciting and successful meeting.

  This year is the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Chile. CCPIT Hubei will make use of the advantages of the China-Chile Business Council Hubei Liaison Office to give full play to the role of China-Chile bilateral cooperation mechanism platform, strengthen exchanges and cooperation between entrepreneurs, promote rapid development of economic and trade cooperation of both sides, and push bilateral relations between two countries to a new level.
