Inaugural Ceremony of Honeywell Emerging Market China Headquarters and Innovation Center Successfully Held in Wuhan

On May 19, with huge support of CCPIT, inaugural ceremony of EmergingMarket China Headquarters and Innovation Center of Honeywell, the Fortune 500,was successfully held inWuhan.Premier Li Keqiang sent a congratulatory letter to the ceremony. Wang Xiaodong,Deputy Secretary of the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee and the governor ofHubeiProvinceattended the ceremony and read the congratulatory letter. The ceremony wasmoderated by Vice Governor Zhao Haishan.

In the letter, praising the companys efforts in building long-termcooperation and achieving common development withChina, Premier Li said he expectedthe headquarters and the center to develop and produce more high-qualityproducts that are intelligent, safe and oriented toward consumer demand toimprove peoples livelihood worldwide and facilitate social development.

Before the ceremony, Governor Wang Xiaodong met with Zhang Yufeng, Presidentof HoneywellChina.Wang expressed his warm welcome to Honeywell for their participation in theYangtze Economic Belt and investment in industries such as smart buildingtechnology, materials, safety and productivity solutions inHubei. He hopes that the company wouldcombine its strengths with the province, advance cooperation amidstHubei’s recovery toachieve win-win benefits.

Shane Tedjarati, President of Honeywell Global High Growth Regionsdelivered video address, saying that the unveiling marks a key milestone inHoneywell’s growth and development and demonstrates its confidence in Hubei andin China and its commitment to be a corporate citizen in building greaterbridges between China and the US and to continue to expand economic and trade relationships.Honeywell will grow withChina,to partner withChinaand to serve the needs of the Chinese people.

Zhang Yufeng, President of HoneywellChina,thankedHubeiandWuhanfor providing reassuring services tothe project. The headquarters and the centre will focus on public healthfacilities, supply chain and industrial chain, education and other publicfacilities, R&D and new infrastructure and boost transformation andupgrading of Hubei’s manufacturing industry and consumer market.

Zhou Xianwang, Deputy Secretary of CPC Wuhan Municipal Committee and Mayorof Wuhan in his speech, expressed gratitude to CCPIT and CCPIT Hubei forfacilitating settling down of Fortune 500 and saluting Honeywell for theirsupport in fighting COVID-19 and investing inWuhan. Wang Xiangwang, member of the StandingCommittee of the CPC Wuhan Municipal Committee and Secretary of the PartyWorking Committee of Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone, introducedabout the establishment project and the significance in the opening-up of theHigh-tech Zone.

The establishment of the headquarters and innovation centerreflects the recognition of American-funded enterprises on business environmentofChinaandHubei, demonstrates their confidence inHubei’s comprehensive advantages, emergingmarket potentials and sound prospects for economic and social development andsets an inspiring example for other foreign-funded enterprises to be engaged ineconomic recovery of the province.
