On the morning of June 23, the China (Hubei)–Republic of Korea Business Matchmaking and Exchange Meeting was successfully held in Seoul. He Lijun, Deputy Secretary-General of the Hubei Provincial People's Government and Director-General of the Counsellors' Office, and Ran Deyan, Counsellor (Economic and Commercial Affairs) at the Embassy of China in the Republic of Korea, attended the event and delivered remarks. Hosted by the Hubei Sub-Council of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT Hubei), the event brought together nearly 60 representatives from well-known Korean companies and small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as nearly 40 business delegates from Hubei seeking cooperation.
The City of Wuhan delivered a culture and tourism presentation, showcasing Wuhan's profound historical heritage, magnificent natural scenery, vibrant modern dynamism, and unique culinary culture, and inviting more Korean business guests to experience the grandeur of Yellow Crane Tower, the romance of two-river night cruises, and the leisurely delight of strolling along East Lake.
Jingzhou gave an investment promotion presentation, focusing on the deep heritage of Three Kingdoms culture and on the city's locational advantages, industrial upgrading momentum, and improvements in the business environment, sharing with attendees a vision of win-win cooperation.
Shiyan gave an industry promotion presentation. While presenting Wudang's Daoist philosophy of harmony with nature, the clear waters of the Han River flowing north, and Shiyan's renown as an 'Auto City', the delegation also highlighted the city's fine teas and liquors, attracting Korean guests to visit the Shiyan tea-and-liquor booth after the session to savor the aromas and take photos.
Following the meeting, business matchmaking was lively. Many companies reached preliminary consensuses on cooperation in multiple areas and exchanged contact information, laying a foundation for deeper collaboration going forward.
Korean participants noted that the event provided a valuable platform, establishing channels for cooperation in fields such as environmental protection, energy, real estate, food and beverage, education, tourism, and machinery and equipment, and expanding networks. Representatives of Hubei enterprises also remarked that the event facilitated precise, face-to-face matchmaking and would help advance more in-depth exchanges and cooperation in the next stage.
CCPIT Hubei will make full use of its advantages in international liaison and platform resources to continuously deepen international economic and trade exchanges and cooperation. Through themed activities such as business negotiations and promotional events, it will attract foreign-invested enterprises to choose Hubei and support Hubei companies in going global and expanding into diversified markets.
