On June 20, 2025, the 2025 China (Hubei) - Japan Investment and Trade Fair was grandly held in Tokyo. He Lijun, Deputy Secretary-General of the Hubei Provincial People’s Government and Director-General of the Counsellors' Office, and Luo Songtao, Minister-Counsellor at the Embassy of China in Japan, attended the event and delivered remarks. As one of the supporting events of Hubei Week at the China Pavilion of Expo 2025 Osaka, the fair attracted participation from numerous Japanese business associations and enterprises. More than 200 government and business representatives from Hubei and Japan gathered to discuss cooperation. Eight cooperation agreements were signed on site, with a total value exceeding RMB 230 million, covering culture and tourism, finance, manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals.
The Hubei Provincial Department of Commerce highlighted Hubei's favorable business environment and investment opportunities. The Hubei Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism showcased signature travel routes such as 'Shenwuxia' and the 'Three Kingdoms Tour'. The Ezhou Airport Economic Zone elaborated on the global logistics network of 'Asia's No. 1 cargo hub'. Hubei Zhongtandeng shared the cooperation potential in the green and low-carbon field. These vivid presentations, from multiple angles, conveyed to participants the broad prospects for industrial cooperation, innovation cooperation, culture and tourism cooperation, and open cooperation in Hubei.
Participating Japanese companies expressed long-term confidence in the Hubei market and stated that they would continue to expand their presence in Hubei in a steady manner.
After the meeting, representatives of Hubei and Japanese enterprises held multiple rounds of discussions, exchanged contact information, and established new channels and networks with a view to achieving more pragmatic cooperation in the future.
Prior to the visit to Japan, CCPIT Hubei collected project intentions in advance and conducted preliminary communication and matching with Japanese enterprises. At the fair, company representatives from both sides engaged in multiple rounds of talks. CCPIT Hubei will continue to follow up on the subsequent progress of exchanges and matchmaking between Hubei and Japanese enterprises, promote deeper and more pragmatic cooperation, and support Hubei enterprises in going global and Hubei products in reaching overseas markets.
