President Zhang Xiaomei met with Mr. Henley Jones, the Principal Commercial Officer atthe U.S. Consulate General in Wuhanin the afternoon of Nov. 12th.

  President Zhang warmly welcomed the guests, recalled previous cooperation and thanked the U.S. Consulate General in Wuhanfor its positive efforts in promoting bilateral trade and investment cooperation. Zhang said that, besides traditional advantages such as location,science and technology, education and industries, Hubeienjoys new accumulative advantages and opportunities from Belt and Road Initiative, Yangtze River Economic Belt and the Rise of Central China, which brings Hubeito a new era of high-quality development. CCPIT HUBE Iand the commercial office of the U.S. Consulate General in Wuhan shares similar responsibilities in promoting bilateral trade and investment cooperation. Zhang advocates both sides to keep frequent collaboration, especially in international exhibitions and legal services in key industries and up to the needs of enterprises from both sides.

  Mr.Henley Jones expressed his thanks to President Zhang for her hospitality and agreed withPresidentZhangin many topics concerning cooperation. He introduced the duties of the commercial office and expressed willingness to cooperate with CCPIT Hubei in promoting bilateral exchanges between governments and enterprises.

  The two sides held in-depth discussions on topics including enhancing the internationalawarenessand influence ofHubei, optimizing business environment, developing famous international exhibition, legal services and etc. Heads of Foreign Relations Department, Legal Affairs Department and International Exhibition Department also attended the meeting.
