On August 20, Wuhan Customs publicly committed to 50 supporting service measures for optimizing business environment of ports and promoting foreign trade and investment. The overall customs clearance time for imports and exports this year will not be lower than that of last December, and will cut by 50 percent compared with 2017.
Many new services and projects have been announced in the measures, including setting up a special consulting window for enterprises as well as responding to enterprises’ needs within 48 hours.
In addition, the inspection and quarantine process of fresh and live products will be optimized, innovative measures such as remote video inspection via internet will be implemented.
The construction of transfer center project of Hubei international logistics hub and the application and construction of comprehensive bonded areas in Xiangyang, Huangshi, Ezhou, Jingzhou and the Wuhan Tianhe Airport Bonded Logistics Center (Type B) will all gain traction. The China-Europe Express (Wuhan) and Hankow North will be encouraged to explore new business.
