The construction site of Jingzhou Airport was energized on June 23, marking a new stage of the constriction work. The airport is scheduled to put into use before the spring festival of 2021.

  The airport started construction in October 2018 with an investment amounted to about 1.3 billion yuan. It is expected to handle 700,000 passengers and cargo throughput of 2,450 tones in 2025.

  The airport will connect Jingzhou and 12 main cities across the country including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xi'an, Chongqing and Sanya. The opening of international lines is even under long-term plan.
