12 counties, county-level cities and districts have beenlisted ona series of rankings including China'stop 100counties withmost investmentpotential,according to reports by major Chinese media outlets Guangming Daily and Economic Daily on Sept. 21, 2025.

  The rankings were jointly compiled by China Small and Medium-sized City Development Index research group and Guoxin Small and Medium-sized City Index Research Institute.

  The rankings revealed thatDayeCitywas named among China'stop 100counties incomprehensivestrength. Hongshan District (Wuhan), Shashi District (Jingzhou), and Xiaonan District (Xiaogan) were listed among both thetop 100districts forcomprehensivestrength andinvestmentpotential.

  Guangshui City, along with Hanchuan, Xiantao, Daye, Yidu, and Zhongxiang, madein the list of top 100countieswith most investmentpotential. Notably, Guangshui rose to 93rd place, marking an improvement of onespot from 2024, two from 2023, and seven from 2022.

  Shashi District (Jingzhou) and Echeng District (Ezhou) were recognized among thetop 100districts forscientific andtechnologicalinnovation. Meanwhile, Xiantao, Daye, Yidu, Zaoyang, and Songzi wereincluded in the top 100 counties with new urbanization quality.
