Hubei's civil aviation market postedremarkable quarterly numbers in the transport volume of both passengers and cargo, data from the Hubei Airports Group showedonTuesday.

  In the first quarter of this year, passenger trips reached10.2 million, and cargo transport hit299,000 tonnes,recording 85,000 landings and taking-offs.

  During the period,Wuhan Tianhe International Airport registered 7.89 million passengertrips including 365,000 international passengermovements, handling 56,000landings and taking-offs.

  Ezhou Huahu International Airport launched eight international cargo routes and two domestic cargo routes this year, logging 254,000tonnes of cargo and mail throughput in the first quarter.(en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei)
