Hubei’s industrial economy posted steady growth in the first five months of 2024, the Department of Economy and Information Technology of Hubei Province reported on June 20.

  In the January-May period, the added value of industries above designated size in the province rose by 7.7 percent year on year,1.5 percentage points higher than national level.

  Among 41 major sectors, 31 industries maintained positive growth, and16 industriesrecorded double-digit growth.

  During the same period,Hubei’sindustrial investment grew by 15.3 percent year on year, and 1,705new industrial enterprises above designated size were registered. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei)
