As of the end of April this year, there have been 234 registered museums in Hubei Province, including  124museums in Wuhan, according to official statistics.

  The museums in the province house more than 2.504 million pieces and sets of cultural relics and specimens in total.

  Museums serve as crucial platforms for international exchanges. Since 2012, Hubei’s museums have participated in 4 exhibitions hosted by China’s National Cultural Heritage Administration and Art Exhibitions China (AEC), and have organized 33 exhibitions in more than 10 countries and regions. They also have introduced 37 exhibitions from 10 countries, and have held 3 international seminars and forums.
