The 21st Conference on Overseas Chinese Pioneering and Developing in China (COCPDC) opened in Wuhan, capital city of central China’s Hubei Province, with attendance of more than 500 guests from home and abroad.
20 investment projects and 10 talent introduction projects, relating to biomedicine, modern manufacturing, IT optoelectronics, energy saving and environmental protection, modern agriculture and other fields, were signed at the opening ceremony. They will be implemented in many places across Hubei.
Among the 30 projects, the project of carbon neutral sci-tech industrial park with a total investment of 10 billion yuan, the project of agrochemical product base with an annual output value of 4 billion yuan in Zhijiang City, the health project contracted between the Hubei Chamber of Commerce in Canada and Enshi Prefecture, and the project on attracting talents with a single investment of up to 380 million yuan highlighted the conference.
This year, 1,731 projects have registered for the conference and 120 of them reached agreements, bringing along a total contract value of 69.592 billion yuan.
