100th China-Europe (Wuhan) freight train in 2021 sets out

  Train X8015, carrying auto parts, electronic products, daily necessities and epidemic prevention supplies, departed from Wujiashan station in Wuhan, capital city of central China’s Hubei Province for Duisburg, Germany on  August 4.

  It marked the 100th China-Europe freight train departing from Wuhan in 2021, a significant increase over the same period last year.

  By the end of July, Wuhan had recorded a total of 195 China-Europe freight train trips, transporting 18,100 TEUs of cargo.   The containerized imports and exports registered a year-on-year increase of 64.03 percent and 65.54 percent, respectively. Among them, 3,086 tons of medical masks, protective clothing and ventilators were transported to Germany, Austria, Poland, Spain, the Czech Republic and other European countries.

  Wuhan saw the 100th China-Europe freight train in advance this year, indicating that the city’s economy has rebounded with strong resilience and vitality. Wuhan has stepped up efforts in international logistics gateways, said Guo Pei, a person in charge of Wujiashan station.
