Over 40million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administrated in Hubei, with 13,866,000 people fully vaccinated as of 9 a.m., June 7, the provincial health commission said.

  Hubei started vaccinating high-risk groups on December 15, 2020. Since March 25 this year, the province has ramped up its COVID-19 vaccination efforts to cover people aged 18 and over. As of April 10, over 10 million COVID-19 vaccine doses  had been administrated in the province, the figure of which had doubled by May 5 and tripled by May 23.

  Local health authorities added vaccination sites, including temporary sites, and extended working hours to meet the vaccination demands of citizens. At present, the province has set a daily vaccination record by administering nearly 1.07 million doses,  and yet, which hasn’t hit the maximum daily vaccination capacity of 1.2 million doses.
