China's new development paradigm will bring more opportunities for all parties to share in quality growth, Chinese President Xi Jinping said at the G20 Leaders' Summit on Saturday.
The country is ready to make joint efforts to create a level playing field and formulate governance rules with the global community, Xi, speaking via video-link from Beijing, added.
The new paradigm is not intended to close China's doors but to build a new system of open economy of higher standards, he said, noting the G20 should uphold multilateralism, openness, inclusiveness and mutually beneficial cooperation.
The G20 should also promote free trade and protect developing countries' rights and space of development, the Chinese president said.
He also urged the creation of a level playing field for scientific and technological enterprises from all countries.
Faced with challenges brought by digitization, China is ready to work with all parties to explore and formulate digital governance rules on the basis of the China-proposed Global Initiative on Data Security, Xi added.
