On October 24th, PresidentZhang Xiaomei met in Wuhan with Mr. Doniyor Ganiev, head of Investments and ForeignTrade Department of Fergana and his workmate. The two sides had in-depthexchanges on promoting bilateral investment and trade and strengtheningcooperation between two institutions.

  Ms. Zhang Xiaomeiextended a warm welcome to Mr. Doniyor Ganiev and his workmate, and introducedthe relevant situation between Hubei and Uzbekistan. From January to September2019, the amount of foreign trade import and export between Hubei province andUzbekistan reached US $74.28 million, with an increase of 336%. More and moreHubei enterprises begin to consider investing in Uzbekistan. At present, fiveenterprises have invested in Uzbekistan. The strong complementarity inindustries points to big potential in investment and trade between two sides.Ms. Zhang Xiaomei emphasized that, Uzbekistan is a key country along "Beltand Road", Hubei puts a high premium on relationship with Uzbekistan. TwoGovernors meeting last year laid a strong foundation for the businesscooperation between two sides. In November, CCPIT Hubei will lead a delegationto Fergana, and hope to reach more achievement by our efforts.

  Mr. Doniyor Ganievthanked Ms. Zhang for reception, and congratulated on the success of 7th CISMMilitary World Games in Wuhan. Fergana put much importance to relationship withHubei. Since last year, 3 delegations from Fergana visited Hubei. High-levelvisits between Hubei and Fergana strengthened cooperation between businesspromotion institutions. He thanked for the faith and support from CCPIT Hubei,and welcome Hubei delegation to visit Fergana this November, the government andrelevant departments will do all best on reception.
